About Me

I have over 10 years experience working with children, adolescents, families, and young adults. I have a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Santa Clara University. As a Marriage and Family Therapist I value the importance of identifying the obstacles that are keeping you from reaching your goals, finding a sense of peace, or hope. I use different approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Trauma Focused CBT, and Brief Strategic Therapy. I include your individual strengths in the therapy process to facilitate a personal approach to therapy.

In working with children and teens, I utilize Art Therapy, Play Therapy, and creative arts. With adults, I include mindfulness, relaxation breathing, and progressive muscle relaxation. A unique feature of my practice is that I incorporate nature into the traditional therapy practices. Being in nature has been shown to clinically reduce stress, anxiety, depression, among other health issues.

I am able to provide therapy in Spanish and have 10 years of experience working with the Latino community tackling issues such as immigration, acculturation, and first-generation immigrant experience. Being bilingual and bicultural has provided me with personal experience and understanding that supports my therapeutic approach.

My therapeutic approach is enhanced by my personal bilingual and bicultural experience.

I provide Individual and Family therapy services and have extensive experience in:

I look forward to meeting you.
